Advice you would give freshmen:
Truly get yourself out there and explore everything the school has to offer. All of these exposures to multifarious opportunities will provide you with fresh perspective on life and your daily experiences. There will be a lot of free time in college so take advantage of it and all of a sudden, you’ll realize how busy you are. As always, academics is number one.

Yul Kwon, winner of survivor and LPhiE alumn from Stanford came to the University of Chicago to talk about what it is to be an Asian American in America. Having been through the struggles and fit in with the “stereotypes,” Yul Kwon shared his life experience with us.
